Shayne Ward helped rescue a young girl and her father after a "horrific" crash on the M60 on Friday. The singer courageously leapt into action immediately after witnessing the accident, rushing to the aid of one family and pulling a little girl and her dad from their car. He is now desperately trying to track down the survivors so he can see how they are. "Just witnessed the most horrific crash on the M60," 30-year-old Shayne tweeted to his fans. "I ran to the car to see a family of four. I pulled a little girl and her father from the wreckage.
Shayne Ward has appealed for help on Twitter to track down the family
"Can everyone please retweet this in hope that it reaches the relations of the family, as I've tried to contact different hospitals in Manchester… but no luck so far. I hope they're all ok. Love Shayne. "Shayne, who shot to fame after winning the X Factor in 2005, is about to embark on a new career as a soap star. The singer has joined the cast of Coronation Street, and will appear on screen over the summer as Aidan Connor, the cousin of Kym Marsh's character Michelle.
Shayne Ward recently joined the cast of Coronation Street
Speaking to Metro last month, Kym said of the new Corrie arrival: "We're very excited about Shayne coming in, it's nice to have another Connor joining the Street. We'll just have to wait and see what dramas he brings, but I'm sure he's going to be great."
Kym, like Shayne, is a former pop star who found fame on a singing competition and later turned her hand to acting. And just recently Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding filmed her scenes for the ITV soap.
"There seems to be a couple of ex pop stars coming in," Kym added. "But you know what, I was also an ex pop star and I've worked out brilliantly because I've been there for ten years and it has been great."
