Perrie Edwards has revealed she would love to have children with her fiancé Zayn Malik in the next three years. The Little Mix star, who has been engaged to Zayn since 2013, said she wants to have her first child by the time she is 24.

Speaking to The Sun's Fabulous magazine, Perrie said: "Well, I would say 24 and that's in three years' time for me. It's still quite a while away.

"My mam was 24, though, so that's always been my ideal age."

The 21-year-old also gave an update on how her wedding planning was progressing. While the couple were rumoured to be planning to tie the knot in coming months, Perrie revealed she still has a lot of preparations to make ahead of her big day.

"Not yet, but me mam can't wait and it's getting on me nerves," said the Geordie beatuy. "She's like, 'What about the flowers? What about this dress?' And I'm like, 'Mam, stop!' We've been so busy, but I literally can't wait to start planning me wedding."

Perrie faced a backlash from One Direction fans when Zayn announced his decision to leave the band in March, but the Black Magic singer once again insisted it was Zayn's choice.

"People have said did I do this, did I do that? No matter what decision he made, I was always going to support him," Perrie said, adding: "If he'd wanted to stay, I would have supported him just the same as I have done since he's left… If he's happy then I'm happy.

"He's really good. Hopefully everyone understands that it was one of the hardest decisions he's ever made in his life."

Despite Perrie saying she wasn't responsible for Zayn's departure from the band, it seems she was a big part of his decision to leave. Speaking to Capital FM in May, Zayn's former bandmate Liam Payne revealed that Zayn left to spend more time with his fiancée.

"He wanted to spend time with his family and missus. That's cool with us," Liam revealed.
