Carrie Underwood had a dramatic start to the weekend on Saturday morning after she discovered her four-month-old son Isaiah and pet dogs were accidentally locked inside her car. The See You Again singer was forced to smash the window of the vehicle in order to free her little one in an ordeal she later shared with her fans on Twitter.

"When your dogs manage to lock themselves, all your stuff & the baby in the car & you have to break a window to get in #WhatAreTheChances," she tweeted.

The mother-of-one later clarified that she didn't break the window herself, but had a little help from a family member.

Carrie Underwood had to break into her car after her son got locked inside

"I should clarify. My bro-in-law was actually the window breaker in the 'dogs-locked-the-car-door' incident today! But all is good now!" she wrote, adding: "Minus the broken window, of course!"

Carrie welcomed her baby son Isaiah Michael with husband Mike Fisher on 27 February, and shared her first adorable photo of the newborn in March. The 32-year-old is clearly besotted with her son and has shared several sweet snaps of him along with his hockey player father, including one which she captioned: "They have my heart…"

The singer also spoke about her joy at being a mother in an interview with E! News in June, saying: "The coolest part, right now he's smiling and laughing, so that's kind of all I want to make him do is smile and laugh, and he's super cuddly.

"You can tell he's just going to be a sweet guy and that makes me so happy!"

Carrie's husband Mike is equally smitten, and opened up about his experiences of being a new father in March.

"There's nothing better than being a dad," he told NHL.com. "Obviously the most important thing is everyone is feeling good and mum's feeling good.

"We're definitely blessed to have him join us in our lives. There's no better feeling."
