Caitlyn Jenner is set to make her first red carpet appearance at the ESPY awards on Wednesday night, but she won't be walking alone. The 65-year-old is set to be joined by her children and step-children for the awards, which recognise excellence in sports performance.

The former Olympian will be honoured with the prestigious Arthur Ashe Courage Award, which is presented annually to individuals whose contributions transcend sports.

Caitlyn's proud family including step-daughters Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian are all expected to join her at the event along with her daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Her older children Brandon and Brody Jenner will also be showing their support along with their sister Cassandra Marino.

Step-son Rob is not expected to join his family at the event. The 28-year-old is reportedly suffering from depression, but did express his support to Caitlyn saying she is his role model in a rare Twitter post in April.

Speaking when she learned that she was going to receive the honour, Caitlyn said: "In the past few months, the overwhelming outpouring of support from all over the world for my journey has been incredible.

"However, being honoured with this award, which is named after one of my heroes, is truly special. For the first time this July, I will be able to stand as my true self in front of my peers."

Caitlyn has previously said she has been overwhelmed by the level of support she has received from the public since announcing she is transgender in April. While she said the response from the public - especially the LGBT community – has been "incredibly positive", it is her family's support that is most important to the star.

Caitlyn Jenner has said she is "so thankful" for the support she has received

In a preview for her new show I Am Cait, Caitlyn can be seen breaking down in tears as she says: "I want my children to be proud of their daddy".

It appears Caitlyn's wish has been granted; not only will her children be joining her at the ESPY awards, they have also continued to show their love and support to Caitlyn with regular family outings, including a fun day out off-roading together for Father's Day.
