Ben Affleck has been putting on a brave face since he announced his divorce from Jennifer Garner, and in his latest high-profile appearance on Wednesday night, the actor was spotted wearing his wedding ring despite the separation.
Taking to the stage at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, Ben was given the honour of presenting retired baseball star Derek Jeter with the Icon Award.
The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hunk even managed to crack a joke about heartbreak.
Ben Affleck announced his divorce from Jennifer Garner two weeks ago
"If you're from Boston you always wanted to hate our next honouree," said Ben. "There was something about him that made the boos ring a little hollow. Maybe it was his inimitable class, maybe it was that he won with dignity and lost with grace. Maybe it was simply that we knew no matter what, he was a winner regardless."
The newly-separated actor, who has three children with Jennifer, then went on to joke that Derek had left him heartbroken many times.

"He broke my heart 100 times, if not more," said Ben. "And he broke it again when he retired, because he was absolutely one of the very best ever to play the game of baseball. So to you Derek Jeter, I tip my hat, and I thank you for every last moment of your incredible career. You made the game better for everyone."
Ben, 42, didn't try to conceal his wedding ring as he gave his speech on stage. The Hollywood star and his estranged wife Jennifer, who has also been wearing her wedding band, announced their shock split at the end of June, just one day after their tenth wedding anniversary.
Ben and Jennifer are still wearing their wedding rings for the sake of their three children
The pair released a statement, writing: "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."
People previously claimed that Ben and Jennifer are continuing to wear their rings to symbolise their effort to help their three children – Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and Samuel, three – through the divorce.
While Ben has been promoting his latest superhero flick, Jennifer and the kids have been dividing their time between the family home in LA and Atlanta, where the actress is filming Miracles from Heaven.
Jennifer is "doing great" added another source. "The kids are with her, which is all she wants. She's as strong as ever," said the friend.
