As he struggles to come to terms with the death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, grieving father Bobby Brown has spoken of his family's "unimaginable" loss. The singer said he was feeling "numb" in a statement released via his lawyer on Monday, the day after his daughter with Whitney Houston passed away, aged 22."Krissy was and is an angel. I am completely numb at this time," said the 46-year-old. "My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable."

He added: "We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl."

The Houston family released an official statement on Sunday confirming the sad news that Bobbi Kristina had died, six months after she was found unconscious in a bathtub at her Atlanta home.

"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July 26 2015 surrounded by her family. She is finally in the arms of God," it read. "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

The family confirmed the sad news in a message on Whitney Houston's Facebook page accompanying a childhood photo of Bobbi with her superstar mum

A heartbreaking message posted on Whitney Houston's official Facebook stated: "It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers.

"As Bobbi Kristina would say: 'The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face'." The message accompanied a black-and-white photograph of Bobbi Kristina and Whitney together.

Singer Sam Smith was among those taking solace in the fact Bobbi would be back in the arms of her mother

Bobbi had been receiving hospital treatment after the incident on 31 January, which had sad echoes to the demise of her mother three years ago. Troubled Whitney, who had long battled addiction, died on February 11, 2011 in the run up to the Grammys, leaving her entire estate to her only child.

Since the start of February Bobbi had been in a medically induced coma and was breathing with the aid of a ventilator. Then on 24 June her family made the heart-rending decision to move her to a hospice, with Whitney's sister-in-law Pat Houston saying: "She is in God's hands now".
