Jeff Brazier has revealed how his ten-year-old son Freddy uses his experience of grief following the death of his mother Jade Goody to help others. The This Morning presenter said he was "beyond proud" to learn that Freddy had been supporting a younger pupil at his school whose mother has breast cancer.
"This week at sports day I was approached by a school mum who is battling breast cancer and is on her second bout of chemotherapy," Jeff explained in a blog post for The Huffington Post. "She started with 'I just want to tell you about your son Freddy' and proceeded to tell me how she also has a son named Freddie in the year below and that my Freddy has been supporting him through the anger and frustration caused by her current situation."

The 36-year-old continued to say that Freddy offers his friend advice about how to handle his feelings and deal with questions raised by other children in the playground, leading the boy to write him a letter proclaiming "how much better it makes him feel 'to have someone at school who understands'.
"What more could I ask for from my ten-year-old?" Jeff wrote. "Freddy seems to enjoy making others feel better, a remarkable trait that can often be found lacking in society and here's my little boy turning his own negatives into positives, putting self pity aside and selflessly putting others first."
He added: "I'm excited for Freddy. We could all learn a thing or two from him. Freddy has found a purpose and a clear sense of fulfilment in helping others, it's a natural path and one he is choosing for himself, I'm beyond proud."
Jeff described Freddy as a hero in his blog post
Freddy was only four when his mother Jade lost her battle with cancer in March 2009, and Jeff recently opened up about how he keeps her memory alive in the minds of both him and his older brother Bobby, 12.
"On the 15th of each month that's 'mummy day'," Jeff revealed on Good Morning Britain. "We can talk about her obviously at any time and we do, but the 15th of each month means we are particularly focused on it.
"We will release balloons or we'll write letters and post them, whether they think they are going to get there or not it doesn't matter, it's expressing."
