Ireland Baldwin has said she is back to her old self almost four months after she checked into rehab for "emotional trauma". The 19-year-old shared an emotional post on Instagram on Tuesday to thank the people who have supported her throughout recent months.

"I have never been so supported and felt so loved in my life," Ireland wrote. "I'm happy to say I feel like Ireland again and it's amazing that I can actually say that because it's been a really long time and I was starting to forget what she was like."

Ireland expressed her gratitude to everyone who has supported her

The teenager – who is the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger – said she felt the need to express her gratitude to the "phenomenal souls" she has met in the last couple of months for giving her the opportunity to start afresh.

"After all my wrongdoings and heartbreaks and trauma and absence of self, how am I here today?" Ireland questioned. "I just wanted to take a moment to show gratitude to everyone who has continued to stand by my side through all that took place and through all that life will continue to throw at me. I'm proud to say I will not be knocked down and alone next time around."

The teen said she was "feeling like Ireland again"

Ireland checked into SOBA recovery centre in April, tweeting to say that she was "getting the therapy I needed in order to recover". While it was speculated that her fraught relationship with her parents was the reason for Ireland's rehab stay, she spoke out in defence of her family on Twitter.

"This is the last thing I'm going to say about everything that's been going on… Both of my parents, step mom, Carmen and friends… were all there for me at all times," she tweeted.

Since leaving the rehab centre, Ireland has been spending a lot of time with her family, including cousin Hailey Baldwin. The pair recently debuted matching "Baldwin" tattoos on their fingers and stepped out together on the red carpet for the premiere of Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, in which Ireland's dad Alec stars.
