Miley Cyrus has revealed that playing pop princess Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel had significant negative impact on her as a little girl, giving her body issues. The songstress, who rose to fame in 2006 thanks to her role as the carefree teenager, said in an interview with Marie Claire magazine: "From the time I was 11, it was, 'You're a pop star! That means you have to be blonde, and you have to have long hair, and you have to put on some glittery tight thing.'""Meanwhile, I'm this fragile little girl playing a 16-year-old in a wig and a ton of makeup."

Just weeks earlier, Miley came out as bisexual in an interview with Paper magazine, which she recalled telling her mother that she had romantic feelings towards women when she was 14."I remember telling her I admire women in a different way. And she asked me what that meant. And I said, I love them. I love them like I love boys. And it was so hard for her to understand. She didn't want me to be judged and she didn't want me to go to hell. "But she believes in me more than she believes in any god. I just asked for her to accept me. And she has."
