Michael Bublé's wife Luisana Lopilato has spoken out for the first time about how their son Noah is recovering after suffering serious burns in an accident at their home in June. The model, who is pregnant with her second child, said that the two-year-old is still in pain after he poured hot water over himself and sustained six per cent burns.

Speaking to Argentinian magazine Luz, Luisana explained: "I have to dress his wounds and he suffers because it hurts and he complains. I often ask myself why this happened. But it was inevitable.

"He climbed onto the kitchen worktop in a second and threw hot water over himself."

Despite suffering "significant" burns, he luckily avoided having surgery after being admitted to Hospital Alemán in Buenos Aires.

"At one point the doctors told me they'd have to do skin grafts but thank God it started healing little by little," Luisana said. "For a long time he has to use elastic bands pressed tight so he's not left with scars."

Luisana was at home with her son in Argentina when the incident happened, while Michael was away in America with work. He has since confirmed that the youngster is "home, happy and healthy".

The couple have since been able to share some happier news – they are expecting their second child together. The Cry Me a River singer revealed the news in an adorable video featuring Noah, who prods his mum's stomach with his finger a couple of times and answers "baby" when asked by his dad: "Who's that in there?"

The proud dad-to-be has since posted a photo of Luisana's scan and seemed to suggest that he and his wife of four years have decided not to find out the gender of their new arrival.

Michael wrote on his official Facebook page: "Good morning world! Today we got the first look at the newest addition to our family! #boy? #girl? #whocaresaslongasitshealthy."
