With one of the world's best loved singers as his girlfriend and an Armani underwear campaign to his name, Calvin Harris is certainly riding high at the moment. Now the Scottish DJ, who says he's "insanely happy" dating Taylor Swift, has retained his title as the highest paid DJ for the third year in a row.

According to Forbes, the king of the decks earned $66 million (£41.8m) in the last year. His nearest rival David Guetta made $37m (£23.4m) with Tiesto in third spot on $36m (£22.8m).

Calvin Harris earned $66 million in the last year

Calvin made more than the world's higest paid actress Jennifer Lawrence, who had earnings of $52million ((£33million). The 6ft 5in music star told the magazine: "The rise of dance music has been astronomical... I happened to be in the right place at the right time".

This could also be the story behind his romance with Taylor, which began following the Brit Awards in February where they were apparently introduced by mutual friend Ellie Goulding. Their supercouple status was cemented when they became the celebrity world's highest paid couple – dethroning Jay Z and Beyoncé on the Forbes list.

Calvin and his songbird were last seen cuddling up at her A-list Fourth of July party, which was attended by model Gigi Hadid and the Haim sisters. The entire party had a hilarious time as they took to the pool in inflatable swans.

Before that, the photogenic duo invited Gigi to join them on a trip to London along with her new love interest Joe Jonas, who just happens to be Taylor's ex.

Model Karlie Kloss also joined the group and according to the singer played a key role as tour guide. Taylor captioned a photograph of the quintet on Instagram: "Little known fact: Karlie is secretly an unofficial historian/London tour guide. Kind of. "The famous friends enjoyed a scenic trip on the River Thames, following the pop princess' London performance as part of her 1989 world tour.
