It was the perfect end to a top summer for Brooklyn Beckham. The teen put in a stylish appearance at the MTV Music Video Awards on Sunday, a week after he celebrated passing all of his GCSE exams.Brooklyn, 16, caused a stir as he arrived Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theatre looking dapper in a white Ralph Lauren jacket, grey T-shirt and skinny jeans combo. He finished off the smart-casual ensemble with a pair of grey suede high top trainers and a silver pendant chain.
The young star – who is shaping up to be something of a red carpet pro – looked cool as a cucumber as he faced the cameras before heading in to watch the music extravaganza, hosted this year by Miley Cyrus.
Avid social media user Brooklyn shared a few photos on Instagram of his glitzy evening out, including a pre-ceremony shot of his outfit, asking his followers: “'What shall I wear?” his grey, black and white outfit choice clearly made the cut.
He also singled out Kanye West's performance with a snap – the rapper was the talk of the evening after confirming during his accepance speech for his lifetime achievement award that he would run for president in 2020.When Brooklyn returned home he would have been able to check out his dad David Beckham’s new tattoo – which no doubt would have brought a huge smile to his face.
In the early hours of Sunday evening, David showed off the new body art, which was a tribute to his first-born. It featured his son’s nickname and a little heart. "I've always called Brooklyn (Buster) since the day he was born... Love you Bust @brooklynbeckham," he captioned the image, shored with his 11.4 million Instagram followers.
The footballer hasn't held back from showing his love for Brooklyn lately over social media. A couple of weeks ago the pair bonded during a father-son hike in LA, with the proud dad sharing a snap and the following sweet message: "Something tells me I love this not so little man so much… Growing up fast into a perfect gentleman and hiking buddy… I love you big boy."
The Beckhams have had an ideal family summer accross the Pond. The gang have enjoyed a number of excursions – including a magical day at Disneyland – as well as having a celebratory meal to celebrate Brooklyn's GCSE success.
