Reese Witherspoon has shared a sweet birthday message for her daughter Ava, who is looking more and more like her famous mum every day. In celebration of her daughter's 16th birthday on 9 September, Reese posted a side-by-side photo showing Ava as a little girl, and now. "Wow! My sweet girl turns 16 today," the proud mum wrote alongside. "I am so blessed to have such a kind, compassionate, brilliant, artistic, all-around wonderful daughter who makes me a better person every day."

Fans quickly commented on the striking resemblance between Reese and Ava, her daughter with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.Reese was 23 when she gave birth to Ava, shortly after tying the knot with Ryan in 1999. The Cruel Intentions co-stars welcomed son Deacon in 2003 before separating in October 2006."I didn't know what I was doing. I was young. It was shocking. When people ask, 'When's the best time to get pregnant?' I say, 'Pick the best day for when your entire life is gonna change.'
