Cat Deeley was radiant as she made her first red carpet appearance since announcing the happy news that she and husband Patrick Kielty are expecting their first child. The 38-year-old was beaming as she and Patrick arrived for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday night, turning heads in a sleek black gown.

Showing no signs of a baby bump yet, Cat was dazzling in the floor-length dress by Mugler, which featured a daring thigh-high slit and silver stud detailing. She accessorised with a patent black box clutch bag and silver strappy sandals, and wore her long blonde tresses slicked back into a smooth ponytail.
The happy couple, who married in a secret ceremony in Rome in 2012, were smiling and laughing as they arrived on the red carpet, no doubt still overjoyed at the exciting news. Cat took to her Instagram page to share a sweet photo of the pair during one particular laughing fit, with a sweet nod to the imminent addition to their family.
"Giggles for two… plus one… @patrickielty #emmy," she captioned the snap.
Cat first revealed her pregnancy with a message for her fans on her Twitter page. "Exciting news… Paddy and I are so happy to be expecting our first child in the spring… Lucky us," she wrote.
The announcement came just a month after Patrick, 44, opened up about the possibility of having children with his wife.
"I hope any child we have has Cat's looks and my accent," he joked to the Birmingham Mail. "With our two strong accents, we basically need subtitles or a UN translator."
When asked when the couple might like to start a family, he then replied: "I don't know. I generally find that when joy like that comes along, it's a surprise."
