She's the designer of beautiful gowns for famous stars, and now Kate Halfpenny has another even more gorgeous creation to her name – a newborn son called Sylvester. The proud mother was visited by close friend Myleene Klass who couldn't resist scooping up the little boy into her arms for a kiss and a cuddle. She posted a picture of the moment on Instagram, offering "to babysit anytime".
Kate, who recently spoke exclusively to HELLO! about her bridal designs, is married to creative designer James-Lee Duffy. She gave birth to their son just weeks after the couple's third wedding anniversary.
Ahead of the new arrival the former Hear'Say singer organised a fun-filled baby shower for her friend attended by 40 guests. Kate posted about the party on Instagram, thanking her "beautiful girl" Myleene and describing it as "beyond epic and special".
She went on: "It couldn't have been anywhere more love filled. Excuse the badge and my banner my sister has a lot to answer for. I love you all! Thank you for all my incredible gifts, This baby sure is so so loved already by you strong amazing magical people ? ?."
Myleene will have lots of tips to pass on to her friend. She is a mother herself to two lovely little girls Ava, seven, and Hero, four, from her marriage to Graham Quinn. The star was heartbroken when Graham, her partner of 11 years, unexpectedly left in April 2012 – just six months after their wedding.
However, she rebuilt her life and has had one serious relationship since then with a handsome Scandinavian, whose name she did not reveal.
Last year, she described how the relationship had injected some much-needed fun into her life. "I've learnt how to laugh and be fun and to not feel like just 'Mum' again", she told Women's Health. "He taught me how to be me, because he had to learn who I was and he had no idea [I was famous]."
Now, though, she is enjoying being single again and focusing on her daughters.
