Sienna Miller says her life has changed for the better since she became a mother. The actress, who welcomed daughter Marlowe with Tom Sturridge in 2012, has described life with the three-year-old as "beautiful and simple".
"[Motherhood] is the most profoundly, deeply affecting thing," Sienna told Marie Claire. "I didn't feel I had proper roots 'til I had her; I was whimsical and spontaneous. I feel anchored in the way I was looking for, and our life is beautiful and simple."

The American Sniper actress added: "We go to the park, I take her to school, we go to the country and she gets muddy and rides ponies. You try to recreate the magic you remember."
It is the second time in recent weeks that Sienna has given a rare insight into her personal life, previously telling Vogue that although being a mum is "incredible", it does leave her feeling "exhausted".
"Obviously when you have a baby it's the most incredible experience but your life is catapulted into this chaos and you're exhausted," Sienna explained. "I could literally get on this table and fall asleep. I'd like to be better at managing things; I'd like to be more super – although we're never going to feel it, even if we are.

"That's the curse of motherhood – we just run ourselves ragged. I'm just trying to get a sense of what that guilt is. I sometimes feel like it's a totally invented emotion. It's strange to be punishing ourselves this way. It's not healthy."
Sienna doesn't often discuss her personal life and has stayed quiet following rumours that she had split from her fiancé Tom Sturridge at the beginning of the summer.
The pair are said to remain "great friends" with a source suggesting to People magazine that they could reconcile in the future: "They are over, but don't rule out a reunion," the source said. "Tom wanted to get married and have more children. Sienna didn't."
The couple first began dating in 2011 and got engaged the following year after announcing they were expecting their first child together.
