Kris Jenner is still coming to terms with her ex-husband's new identity – instead of calling Caitlyn Jenner by her new moniker, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch calls her simply by her surname, Jenner. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star told Access Hollywood that the gender transition Caitlyn has undergone has been "really, really" hard for her family, but she has learned from the experience. "It's hard, you know, it's really, really hard. What I have realised in all of this is that everyone handles stuff a different way. No matter what it is, you know. We're all people. We all have different emotions," she said.
Kris has revealed that she chooses to call Caitlyn by her surname, Jenner"I just thought she would be a little bit different," Kris said. "Bruce had a distinct personality and, you know, had definite characteristics. And Caitlyn has some different ones, I feel. "Despite their hurdles, Kris – who was married to then-Bruce for 20 years and with whom she has her two youngest children, Kendall, 19, and 18-year-old Kylie – explained that she's "getting to know her" slowly.
In the interview, Kris spoke about her daughter Kourtney Kardashian and the relationship struggles she's been having with Scott Disick.
The pair together on the E! show"My wish it that, you know, they work it out and figure it out and we'll see what happens. "Scott is like my son," she said. "I just know that, you know, they'll figure it out. He's a great dad and he loves the kids and he loves Kourtney."
Kris was married to Bruce for 20 yearsWhile Kris has opened up about dealing with Caitlyn's transformation, her daughter Khloé Kardashian recently admitted that, although fully supportive of her stepfather's new identity, she sometimes calls Caitlyn by her previous name, Bruce.
Speaking on Australian show The Project, the 31-year-old said: "We, my sisters and I, we will call Caitlyn, Bruce, and we have been told that is completely fine," she revealed. "And she has told us, we are allowed to call her any name we want to. Because on the phone, when she calls me, it's the same voice as Bruce. And if I'm not physically with her, it's hard to remember in the moment that I'm talking to Caitlyn, if that makes sense."
Khloé added that herself and her sisters Kim and Kourtney, and step-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner "don't like to say that Bruce is gone, per se".
