It's no secret that the Brand Beckham sells. From endorsements to modelling contracts and Victoria's hugely successful fashion line, the famous family seem to have the Midas touch when it comes to making money. So much so, that a new study has found that the marketing value of David, Victoria and their children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper – plus their business ventures – means that Brand Beckham is worth around £500million, the Independent reports. That figure translates to earnings of around £30-£40million a year for the family, whose marketing power stems from three main vehicles, according to the experts at the London School of Marketing - Footworks, where David's football-related revenues are collected, the Beckham label, for the family's endorsements, and Beckham Ventures for Victoria fashion label.
The Beckham family brand is worth an estimated £500million, according to a new study
Currently Footworks has an estimated value of £150million, the Beckham name at £70million, and Beckham Ventures at £60million.Of course, as it stands, David, 40, and Victoria, 41, are the biggest earners – but their children are starting to catch up with marketing appeal of their own. Their eldest son, 16-year-old Brooklyn, has already amassed more than 4.4 million followers on Instagram, has starred in fashion campaigns, and just recently appeared on the front of Miss Vogue magazine. His younger brother, 13-year-old Romeo, meanwhile, has a Burberry Christmas campaign under his belt, and was credited with driving a 15% sales boost for the brand. "The Beckham name has the Midas touch when it comes to advertising, even the mere mention of their names associated with a brand is a small news event in itself," Anton Dominique, chief marketing officer at the London School of Marketing, said. "What is also interesting is that the family name is almost as influential as any individual family member," he added.
