Shortly before their one-year wedding anniversary, George and Amal Clooney were spotted heading out for an intimate dinner date in Los Angeles. Hollywood's hottest couple married last year on 27 September in Venice, Italy in a star-studded affair that lasted three days.
Kicking off their celebrations early, George, 54, and Amal, 37, were pictured outside Asanebo, an upscale Japanese restaurant known for its sushi and grilled fish.
The British-Lebanese lawyer showed off her statuesque figure in a white halter maxi dress that featured red and black stripes. Amal, known for her quirky style, kept her accessories simple save for a pair of huge pearl earrings, her impressive engagement ring and a nude clutch.

Looking just as happy and relaxed was her husband George, who went casual in jeans and a black shirt, and sported a salt and pepper beard.
The couple have just returned from a recent holiday in Ibiza, where they were joined by George's best friend Rande Gerber and his wife Cindy Crawford. The group of four were celebrating the launch of George and Rande's tequila brand, which was also served at the actor's wedding last year.
Since marrying in Italy, the country where they first set eyes on each other, George and Amal have not been shy of showing their affection for each other.

The Tomorrowland actor has admitted on more than one occasion that Amal, who specialises in human rights and international law, is the "smart one" in the marriage, joking that he is the "trophy husband".
"She's an amazing human being," George told Entertainment Tonight in May. "And she's caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humour.
"She (keeps up to date with fashion) while she's got 11 cases she's working on, and she was teaching at Columbia, and she's still like, 'I want to wear that dress.'"

George also recently revealed that he and Amal, who divide their time between the US and the UK, are currently putting the finishing touches to their house just outside of London.
Earlier this week it was reported that his close friend Brad Pitt and Brad's wife Angelina Jolie could become neighbours, as the fellow A-listers are apparently looking to buy in the same village of Sonning.
