Wayne Rooney may be England's most prolific ever goal scorer, but off the pitch he loves nothing more than spending time with his family. The footballer and his wife Coleen Rooney have given a glimpse into their home life with sons Kai and Klay in a new documentary, Wayne Rooney: The Man Behind the Goals.
The 29-year-old "family man" says he's happy to take a back seat when he's at home, allowing mum-to-be Coleen to take control.
"Outside of football [Coleen is] the strong one, so she makes all the decision," Wayne explained. "She's a great mum and she's great for me and great for the children."

Meanwhile Coleen revealed she will often put her husband in his place if he steps out of line.
"We're both from strong down to earth families. We're both different characters. If Wayne needs telling off I'll tell him off. And vice versa but we get on well, we're mates."
The couple are childhood sweethearts and tied the knot in 2008, with Wayne showing off his romantic side by confiding that he sometimes writes poems for his wife.
Wayne Rooney revealed he writes poetry for Coleen
"I used to love writing poems before I was with Coleen, just normal poems. I used to like to write little stories," Wayne revealed. "So when I first got with Coleen I used to write her a lot of poems but that's died down a little bit of late."
However Coleen confided that he did write her something special during a recent holiday.
"I went to bed with the kids and when I woke up there was a poem on the side that he had left me, which was nice," she said.
Although the couple have two sons and another baby on the way, they still make time for their relationship, setting Thursdays aside for a weekly date night.
Wayne and Coleen announced that they are expecting their third child together in July, and have since told HELLO! that they are hoping for a baby girl when the little one arrives in January.
"I honestly don't mind," Coleen said. "But a girl would be nice to complete the family, of course."
Wayne Rooney: The Man Behind the Goals will air on BBC One on Monday 5 October.
