Tom Daley is engaged to his boyfriend of two years, Dustin Lance Black. The handsome pair followed in the footsteps of Benedict Cumberbatch by breaking the news in the Births, Marriages and Death section of The Times on Thursday. "The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence," their happy announcement read.The Olympic silver medal-winning diver's relationship with his film-maker beau prompted Tom to come out via a YouTube video in December 2013. The couple have been together two and a half years.

They celebrated their second anniversary in March, and marked the occasion on social media by sharing the first selfie they ever took together - shortly after meeting at a party. Tom, 21, wrote to his Instagram followers: "2 years ago I met my [frog] and my life changed forever! Thank you for making these past 2 years so special. "Dustin, 41, took to his Facebook page to share the sentiment: "Two years ago we took a selfie just after meeting... the very moment my life changed forever. Happy Anniversary my love. "No doubt their engagement is the perfect end to an adventure-filled summer – the pair have been on a one-month-long road trip to California.
Tom kept fans in the loop of their travels with shots of themselves visiting the likes of the famous Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco and the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, as well as horse-back riding in California.

"But the holidays haven't yet come to an end for the couple, as they enjoyed a day out in London with a visit to the British museum this week.
