Peter Andre has shared some of the most embarrassing moments and biggest challenges he has faced in his life to support Stand Up To Cancer. The Strictly Come Dancing contestant, who lost his brother to kidney cancer in 2012, is supporting the fundraising campaign because he doesn't want other families to go through what he has.
What challenge have you overcome in your life?
One of the things that surprised me the most was overcoming my fear of heights. It proved to me that anything really is possible when it comes to tackling your fears. A wise woman once told me that 'impossible' is just a word that we’ve been saying wrong; the word is actually pronounced 'I'm possible'. The problem is that when a fear manifests itself inside us we believe that it's only going to get worse as we get older but I’m living proof that that isn't true.

I was put in a situation filming a TV show where I pretty much had no choice but to face my fear of heights as they wanted me to film from up high. So I spoke to my doctor and asked him 'what's the worst possible thing that can happen with my anxiety?' and he said 'your anxiety cannot harm you, your anxiety cannot kill you' so I took this and used it to try to overcome my fear. I reasoned that there was nothing truly bad that could happen as a result so I took the leap and faced it. It took a lot of mental will power but the feeling of filming on that super high platform and overcoming my fear was amazing.
If you were a food or a dish, what would you be and why?
Pasta so I could 'Pass da time'!
What’s your guilty food pleasure?
Chocolate. I'm obsessed. I know that I'm addicted because if I can't find any to hand I will hunt through all the cupboards in the kitchen to find any last bit!
Peter wasn't always successful on dates before he met wife Emily MacDonagh
What’s your favourite recipe?
Linguine and scallops with cream and chilli sauce. It's absolutely delicious.
Why are you Standing Up To Cancer?
I'm standing up for every family in this country. Unfortunately for everyone cancer affects us all, with the statistics saying that one in two of us are now going to be affected by cancer at some point in our lives. We need to stand up together because I don't want other families to go through what my family went through and are still going through; I'm standing up to make us a step closer to finding treatments and cures.
What’s been your worst haircut?
Probably on my 21st birthday – I had dreadlocks to down past my chest. I was trying to be both Milly and Vanilli!

What’s the worst outfit you have worn?
Where do I begin?! I've had so many fashion disasters in the past but thankfully I think I've got it right now.
What’s the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?
I was in the street and someone started running towards me to give me a hug. I put my arms out but they ran right past me and hugged the person behind!
What’s been your most embarrassing date moment?
I was a teenager and I'd met a girl who I was really keen on. I really wanted to go all out and treat her but I didn't have much money as I was just a kid and was working in a supermarket at the time. But I found a really nice restaurant and pulled out all the stops but when the bill came I couldn't pay for it all. It was so embarrassing, I had to call one of my brothers to come and help me out!
