Another photo showed her head, neck and décolletage being painted in a thick blue paint, with the 42-year-old telling fans: "So yucky but so worth it in the end #heidihalloween #heidiklumhalloween."

While Heidi has not revealed what she plans to dress up as, a short video shared to the social networking site shows her standing with her arms outstretched while the prosthetic artists paint her body in blue paint. The mother of four is a huge fan of Halloween and hosts an annual party for her celebrity friends in New York. Heidi goes to great lengths with her costumes and looks beyond the predictable witch or vampire outfits to take on a number of weird and wonderful guises.

In 2014, Heidi transformed into a vibrant butterfly, while previous metamorphoses have included dressing as an elderly woman, a Hindu goddess and an alien.

The Project Runway host recently told Us Weekly that she loves surprising guests with her imaginative Halloween costumes and enjoys being known as the "Queen of Halloween".

"I like to be the queen of something!" she said. "I always like to surprise. I don't like to tell people what I'm gonna do because people have a certain expectation of what it's gonna be like. I like to just show up and not tell anyone what it's gonna be."
