Olly Murs has revealed that his female fans sometimes caused tension between himself and ex-girlfriend Francesca Thomas before their split. Writing in his autobiography On The Road, Olly explained that he often kept Francesca "hidden" to protect her from fans' comments.
He wrote: "A lot of my fans are girls, so it can cause problems, obviously. Sometimes I'll ask Francesca to stay in the people carrier when a crowd comes round. From her perspective she's thinking, 'Why am I a secret? Why are you putting me in a car?'

"And I say, 'You can come and stand with me if you want,' but if someone comes up and asks for a picture and says, 'Olly I really fancy you, you should dump your girlfriend. You should get rid of her and go out with me.' It's not nice."
Olly and Francesca ended their three-year relationship in September after going on holiday together. The Troublemaker singer spoke about the break-up for the first time on Wednesday, and admitted he was "cross" with Simon Cowell for suggesting he should go out with X Factor co-host Caroline Flack.
"I'm so cross with him. It's so silly," Olly told ITV's Loose Women. "I've obviously just gone through a break up with my girlfriend which has been quite sad and it's been a difficult couple of weeks.

"So I'll be having words with Simon about that. Me and Caroline have always said in interviews we've never been together we're just really good mates."
Olly was said to be "numb" following the split, with a source telling The Sun: "The split has just happened and it is very raw for Olly, he stills feels numb. He always worried that his relationship would struggle because he'd always put his career first. Now, with X Factor and his singing on the go, that's exactly what has happened."
