Lamar Odom's children release heartfelt statement

Lamar Odom's children released a statement just hours after visiting their father's bedside in a Las Vegas hospital. "Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers," it read.Lamar's estranged wife Khloé Kardashian reportedly arranged for his children, 17-year-old Destiny and Lamar Jr, 13, to fly from New York to Las Vegas along with their mother Liza Morales and Lamar's aunt JaNean Mercer.

The group arrived in Las Vegas on Wednesday night and have remained by the athlete's side ever since.

Khloé also flew out to be with her ex on Tuesday. The reality TV star has been joined by her mum Kris Jenner and sisters Kim, Kylie and Kourtney. The stars have been pictured looking sombre as they left the hospital, where their sister remained.

Shortly after their visit, Khloé and her family suspended all activity on their paid-for apps. In a statement, the sisters said: "As a family we've decided to hold off on publishing content across our apps while we continue to support and pray for Lamar. "Thank you for your kindness and understanding during this difficult time. "Former NBA star Lamar has been in a medically induced coma since Tuesday, when he was found unconscious in the VIP suite of a legal Nevada brothel.

Shortly after the news broke, Khloé's younger sister Kylie Jenner cut short a live stream she was doing, telling fans: "Had to end my live stream. I love you guys. "According to TMZ, which first reported Lamar's hospitalisation, doctors intubated the star, and he is breathing with the assistance of machines and remains in a critical condition.Lamar has long struggled with alcohol and drug addiction. He was involved in a drink-driving case in 2013, and was suspended from the NBA for violating its anti-drug policy in 2000.
