Kim Kardashian returned to Los Angeles on Thursday after two days by Lamar Odom's bedside. The mum-to-be, who had been at the hospital since Lamar was admitted on Tuesday, flew home to attend a doctor's appointment.

A source told E! News that she has an "important, pregnancy-related doctor's appointment" to attend, although she is expected to return at the weekend to support her sister Khloé Kardashian who has remained at the hospital.

Kim was joined by her sisters Kourtney and Kylie and their mum Kris Jenner for the return journey home, with all four ladies pictured looking sombre in all-black ensembles and sunglasses.

The family have all been visiting Lamar at the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, where he remains in a coma after being discovered unconscious at a legal brothel in Nevada on Tuesday.

The Kardashians have called for fans to pray for the NBA player's recovery, while Lamar's children have released a statement after visiting their dad in hospital on Thursday.

"Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers," it read.

Khloé reportedly arranged for Lamar's children, 17-year-old Destiny and Lamar Jr, 13, to fly from New York to Las Vegas along with their mother Liza Morales and Lamar's aunt JaNean Mercer. The group arrived in Las Vegas on Wednesday night and have remained close by the athlete's side since.

Kim has been supporting her younger sister throughout the difficult week and reportedly cancelled her baby shower, which was planned for this weekend, in light of Lamar's hospitalisation. The family have also confirmed that they won't be updating content on their individual paid-for subscription apps while they continue to "support and pray for Lamar".

The sisters all posted an identical statement, explaining: "As a family, we've decided to hold off on publishing content across our apps while we continue to support and pray for Lamar. Thank you for your kindness and understanding during this difficult time."
