Evangeline Lilly welcomes second baby with Norman Kali

October 23, 2015

Evangeline Lilly is a mother for the second time! The Canadian actress has kept mum on the exciting news, but recent pictures of the former Lost star looking radiant in a bikini in Hawaii have one thing conspicuously absent: her sizeable baby bump. In the E! photos, revealed on Thursday (Oct. 22), the 36-year-old wears a floral two-piece while soaking up some sun at a beach park.

Lilly kept her second pregnancy under wraps until she debuted her bump at the Hollywood premiere of Ant-Man in June, wearing a monochrome one-shouldered Halston Heritage gown that draped over her tummy.

The new arrival – whose gender isn’t known – is the star’s second child with her long-term partner Norman Kali, a production assistant she met on the set of Lost. The couple are already parents to a four-year-old son named Kahekili Kali.

News of Evangeline’s pregnancy came as surprise to fans; she was last photographed in December at the premiere of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies without a hint of a baby bump. But in an interview later, the actress admitted she was eager to expand her family and that she and Norman had investigated adoption.

“What I wanted originally was six kids,” she told Ocean Drive, adding that she loves being pregnant. “I’m one of the lucky women who just had a blissful pregnancy, but I wanted to adopt four. My partner and I have really been through the wringer in the adoption world and it’s hard, so we’ll see that happens. Life is magically beautiful, and it brings you what is perfect.”

Evangeline, who was previously married to Murray Hone from 2003 until 2004, also revealed that she and partner Norman don’t feel compelled to tie the knot, and that he is a stay-at-home dad.
