Although One Direction have announced that they will be taking a break from music, singer Louis Tomlinson is still going to be working in the industry, but this time from behind-the-scenes. The 23-year-old has revealed that he is working alongside Simon Cowell to put together a girl band.The That What Makes You Beautiful singer spoke out about his future plans in the industry with Xtra Factor presenters Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom.
In an interview for the X-Factor YouTube channel the global superstar said: "I’ve got a little label imprint so I’m trying to work with that at the moment. I’m lucky enough to be working with Simon. We’ve got a few different projects going on at the moment one of which is we’re trying to put a girl band together."

He explained that he is taking the band’s hiatus to understand more about the industry and how it is run. "It’s really exciting to be involved in the different side of it, the background. "The music mogul and the young singer have a very strong working and personal relationship. During this year’s X-Factor judge’s houses stage of the competition, Simon invited Louis to be his guest judge and to help him whittle down the contestants to the final 3, that will go on to perform during the live shows.

Speaking about returning to the show that made him famous he said: "It's such an honour to come back and obviously we started here so to be asked to come back is an incredible honour. I’ve always been such a massive X Factor fan, I’ve always watched it with the family for years, it’ll be a proud moment for my mum."
