Sheridan, who split from The Enemy rocker Andy Hopkins in October, said her career was getting in the way of her love life. But she insisted that she was content living alone with her three dogs.
"It sounds really sad and Bridget Jonesy doesn't it," she joked, "But I just meet people on jobs… [The dogs] are my babies, I don’t need a man with them!"
The BAFTA-winning star went on to admit that she actually enjoys reading press speculation over who her new man could be. She joked that the media had mistaken some of her gay friends and even her brother for potential boyfriends after she was spotted with them.

The actress also spoke to Jonathan about her role as Cilla Black in the recent ITV drama, Cilla, which aired just months before the star’s death. Describing Cilla as an "icon", Sheridan revealed that the Blind Date host had sent her flowers after the programme aired as a way of thanks.
Joan Collins, who was also a guest on Jonathan’s show, added: "I knew [Cilla] very well, she was a very good friend and I found out that she’d passed when Christopher Biggins – also a good friend – called and told me that she had died and I was really very upset about it."
