Kylie Minogue has spoken for the first time about her relationship with actor Joshua Sasse. During an interview on Australian radio, the pop star confirmed that she is dating the 27-year-old Brit after a guest appearance on his TV show Galavant.
Asked about the romance on 2DayFM, the I Should Be So Lucky singer said: "I can confirm it." She went on to praise Joshua's role in the series, described as a musical comedy fairytale.
"He's amazing in it. It's such a fun show. There are so many guest stars on the show and I was one of them so yes, that's where we met," she revealed.
Kylie, 47, has previously posted pictures with her handsome new beau, but this is the first time she felt comfortable enough to talk about him. It became apparent that there was someone special in her life after she was spotted walking around London hand in hand with the actor.
Then she shared an Instagram photo of herself in costume standing with Joshua and his co-star Timothy Omundson on set, telling her new friends "it was pretty delightful" to work with them. This was followed by the couple's appearance together at the Rugby World Cup, watching Australia lose to New Zealand.
Ahead of the match Kylie she shared a picture of the couple in the stands, writing: "Here we goooo!! Come on Wallabies".
Joshua posted his own selfie with his new love, describing them as "superfans" of the Wallabies.
He grew up in London before enrolling at Cygnet Training Theatre, a drama school in Exeter. The handsome actor has starred in TV shows The Neighbors and Rogue, before landing his role as the eponymous hero of Galavant who must rescue the love of his life Madalena from evil King Richard. Friends describe him as "a real dreamer and a hugely passionate, artistic guy".
He is a big fan of fitness and fashion, and recently sat front row at New York Fashion Week alongside Christian Slater and Tyson Beckford. He is also an animal lover, whose pet dogs "his fellas" accompany him everywhere.
This is something he shares with Kylie who loved spending time with Olivier Martinez's Rhodesian Ridgeback Sheba when they were together.
Kylie has been single since her split from male model Andres Velencoso in 2013. However, earlier this year she signalled she was ready to meet someone new. She told Event magazine that she considering dating again.
"I'm putting it out there. I would like to find someone. I'm a romantic. I'm not conventional," she said. "I don't think even as a kid I dreamed of a wedding day or a wedding dress but I do like being in love.
"I don't see myself as unlucky in love as I've had a lot of really great relationships – and I don't have any regrets."
