David Beckham supported by children at charity football match

David Beckham was joined on the field by his children Romeo,13, Cruz,10, and Harper 4, as he played his final match and completed his mission of seven games on seven continents. Eldest child Brooklyn didn’t stand with his father and siblings at the beginning but was seen warming up on the sideline, as he had been selected to compete alongside his father in the Great British team.

Proud dad David couldn’t hide his happiness as he posed with his children and football colleagues before kick-off. Whilst Romeo and Cruz wore the same mini-me football kits as their dad, Harper looked stylish in a red Marie-Chantal woolen coat, light blue jeans and camel chelsea boots.After enjoying the musical talents of Rita Ora, the 40-year-old football superstar spoke to the crowds explaining a bit about his recent tour around the world playing a football game in each continent. Despite hanging up his boots two years ago, once the whistle blew, it was as if David had never retired from football.

David was thrilled to share the pitch with 16-year-old son Brooklyn

The former England international looked thrilled to be back on the pitch especially alongside his 16-year-old son. By the final whistle David and his team claimed a 3-1 victory over the all-star Rest of the World team.Several famous faces came to watch and support the UNICEF ambassador including close friend Prince Harry. Despite the poor weather the Prince seemed in good spirits as he watched the world’s best footballers battle it out on a soggy pitch.

After the final whistle the UNICEF UK Executive director David Bull took to the microphone to thank David and everyone involved. "Today’s Match for Children has been an unforgettable occasion that has helped to raise funds and focus attention on UNICEF’s work. It was fantastic to see so many world class players coming together at Old Trafford in what was a thoroughly entertaining spectacle."
