Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are continuing to put their children first following their split. The Hollywood couple, who announced their separation in June, reunited for a day out with their three children Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and three-year-old Samuel on Saturday.

The devoted parents were seen taking their children to Cake Mix in West Hollywood, a shop which offers budding bakers the opportunity to create and decorate their own cakes. Ben and Jennifer walked separately and appeared focused on their children as they strolled around Los Angeles.

Neither Ben nor Jennifer wore their wedding rings for the day out, which comes almost five months after they announced their split. They both dressed down for the outing, with Jennifer wearing a striped jumper and jeans, while Ben wore a checked shirt and jeans topped off with a beanie hat.

The power duo have not yet filed for divorce and are currently trying to work out how to co-parent amicably, leading to a number of family outings including a trip to Disney World in honour of Ben's 43rd birthday in August.

In a sign that they are taking the next steps towards divorce, Ben and Jennifer have reportedly put their Los Angeles home up for sale, which is located in the affluent neighbourhood of Pacific Palisades.

According to Variety, the amicable exes are seeking nearly £30million for the property, which they bought for a reported £11million in 2009. The former couple also share an apartment in New York, a ski chalet at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana, a beach house at Baker's Bay Golf & Ocean Club in the Bahamas and a Greek Revival-style home with an 83-acre estate on the secluded Hampton Island near Savannah, Georgia.

Ben and Jennifer, both 43, announced their separation on 30 June – one day after their tenth wedding anniversary. Releasing a joint statement, the pair wrote: "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce.

"We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."
