Zayn Malik has said that he will always have feelings for Perrie Edwards. Speaking for the first time about their shock split over the summer, the pop pin up also denied that he ended their relationship by text.
In an interview with Fader magazine, he said: "I love her [Perrie] a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that. She knows that, I know that, and the public should know as well."

The 22-year-old refused to go into the reasons why he broke up their engagement, saying: "'I don’t want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn’t do that."
Their break up came as a surprise to fans because it was thought that Zayn had left One Direction so that he could concentrate on having "a normal life" with Perrie.
The couple had recently bought a £4.2million mansion together and also owned a kitten. In June, the Little Mix singer talked about waiting to have three children by the time she was 24 and was busy planning their "perfect wedding".

Despite being devastated, she has been keeping her spirits up with the support of her bandmates and has shared a number of fun selfies on social media – including a series of snaps from their trip to Las Vegas. Perrie and the girls also spent time sharing the stage with Taylor Swift as part of her 1989 tour.
Following Little Mix's performance on The Late, Late Show, she told host James Corden that she was "good" . Perrie added: "I wake up every day and thank my lucky stars that I have these three girls."

Meanwhile, Zayn has been linked with a number of possible love interests, a mystery blonde who appeared in an embrace with him on his Instagram site, Hollyoaks actress Wallis Day and Burberry model Neelam Gill.
Now based in Los Angeles while he records his debut solo album, the singer is getting close to the Kardashian clan, having recently attended Kylie Jenner's 18th birthday party.
