Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas have overcome some difficult hurdles during their marriage – Michael has successfully battled cancer, and the pair briefly separated in 2013.
But now one of Hollywood's most famous couples is stronger than ever, with the pair celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary this week. The Welsh beauty marked their special day with a throwback black-and-white snap on Instagram, showing them with their arms wrapped around one another as Michael planted a kiss on his wife's forehead.
Catherine, 46, captioned the photo with a touching message: "Happy Anniversary dearest Michael! Loving our life together, here's to the next 15! [heart emoji]."
The photogenic duo have two children together, Dylan, 14, and 12-year-old Carys. After being introduced by mutual friend Danny DeVito at the Deauville Film Festival in France in August 1998, the pair tied the knot two years later in a lavish ceremony.
They went on to enjoy a happy life pursuing their film careers and raising their children, until Michael revealed his cancer battle.
In January 2011, the Hollywood heavyweight declared that he was cancer-free. A few years later they embarked upon a trial separation for around six months. Now happily reconciled with his wife, Michael spoke recently of the "bump in the road" they had overcome together.
He told Mail Online: "The problem in this business is that everything is so public. I love Catherine as much, more than I ever have. And hopefully the feeling's mutual.
"We worked things out – if both people want to work something out and make it better, you can do it. You can't do it if it's just one person."
