Georgia May Foote is one of the latest celebrities confirmed to join the Strictly Come Dancing tour. The former Coronation Street star said she is "delighted" to have the opportunity to join the live tour, which opens in Birmingham on 22 January.
"I am so excited to be part of the Strictly Come Dancing live tour," Georgia said. "I've made some great friends on the TV show so I'm delighted to have the chance to perform with them again as we travel across the UK. I can’t wait for January!"
Georgia May Foote will join the Strictly live tour
Joining her on the tour will be fellow contestants from this year's competition Ainsley Harriott and Anita Rani, who spoke of how much she has enjoyed her time on the show so far.
"I've thrown myself into Strictly and can't believe how much I'm enjoying learning to dance. I'm over the moon to be able to carry on the glittery experience and join the tour," Anita said. "For a Yorkshire lass what better place to visit than my old uni town of Leeds. I hope everyone comes down for a northern knees up!"
Georgia, Ainsley and Anita are set to join The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge on the tour, along with more celebrities and professional dancers who have yet to be named. Frankie was left "devastated" earlier this year as she was forced to pull out of the 2015 tour when she found out she was pregnant with baby number two, so was "thrilled" to get the opportunity to perform again in 2016.
Anita Rani is also confirmed to take part in the tour
The celebrities will join the new Strictly tour host Mel Giedroyc, who says she is "thrilled" with her new gig. Meanwhile Len Goodman, Bruce Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood will reprise their judging roles for the 30 date live tour.
The tour opens at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham on 22 January 2016. It will then visit the biggest entertainment venues across the UK: Sheffield Arena, First Direct Arena Leeds, Manchester Arena, Liverpool's Echo Arena, Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Nottingham's Capital FM Arena, The SSE Arena in Wembley, before culminating at The O2, London on Valentine's Day.
