The 75-year-old businessman and entrepreneur and Bella, 32, already have a daughter Rosabella, two. And Peter, who also has children Karen, 52, and Scott, 49, from previous marriages, says he is better prepared for parenthood now.
"I consider myself to be a very hands-on dad and am regularly up to my elbows in nappies and poop. I’m more than happy to do my bit. I’ve lived another life before having children this time around. Bella and I were living the carefree life that people hope for and wish to retire to – I had the boat, the Porsche and a home office. Now I have no boat, a Range Rover and a nursery instead. "Asked whether he would recommend having another child at his age, he replied: "You have to be ready to start your life all over again. People say having a baby changes your life. That’s true, but having a baby at my time in life changes everything – and your life. Having Angelo has made me realise that I can forget about retiring. I need to find the energy to carry on working, to make sure I’m able to provide the financial stability I want for them. I’m not stupid – I’m not going to be around for many more years and I need to make absolutely sure that my family are comfortable when I’m no longer here.
