Family is what matters most, Ariana Grande has shown. The One Last Time singer attended the American Music Awards on Sunday night – where she performed and accepted a prize – and turned the star-studded evening into a family affair as she took her grandmother as her date.
Nonna Grande, as she is affectionately called, was on hand to cheer her 22-year-old granddaughter to victory.
The pop princess was performing her new hit Focus on stage and had dear Nonna bopping along in the audience.

When it was time to collect her award for Favourite Female Artist – Pop/Rock, Ariana gave a shout out to her hip and happening grandma, who was seated next to Ariana's older brother Frankie.
Addressing the crowds, the pint-sized singer gave her best Nonna Grande impression and explained how her grandmother had basically ensured her win.
Recalling Nonna's words, she mimicked: "Ariana I went on the computer. I voted, so I think you'll win."

"Thank you! Ew I'm crying," she laughed. "I love you guys so, so much. Thank you to my family, who's here tonight. I think I owe a lot of this to my Nonna, who made sure to remind me that she voted."

Ariana and her grandma also shared a sweet moment, hugging and kissing when the songstress was crowned the winner, beating the likes of Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor in her category.
After their night out, Ariana shared a video on Instagram of the family driving home. A modest Nonna is heard saying "I really do photograph well" alongside a clip which Ariana captioned "#NonnasBigNight".
