As red carpet pairings go, it doesn't get much better than this. Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling posed for the ultimate Man Crush Monday photo at the premiere of their new movie, The Big Short in New York this week.The handsome Hollywood actors laughed and joked together as they attended the screening of the comedy-drama alongside their co-star Steve Carell and director Adam McKay.

Brad, 51, had flown in from Berlin, where he is filming a new movie called film War Machine – and unveiled a new look as he arrived at the Ziegfeld Theatre for the premiere. The actor dressed in his usual dapper style – but it was the return of his 90s hairstyle that proved a big hit with fans, who took to social media to praise its comeback.Ryan, 35, meanwhile, was equally as handsome as he promoted the movie, which is scheduled for release in the US next month.The Big Short is based on the best-selling book by Michael Lewis and tells the true story of four men who predict the 2008 housing and credit crisis and set out to find a way to profit from it. The group – played by Brad, Ryan, Christian Bale and Steve – hatch 'The Big Short' plan to take on the big banks and beat them at their own game.

The handsome Hollywood stars share a joke on the red carpet

The movie, which was produced by Brad's Plan B Entertainment production company, also stars Melissa Leo, former Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan, Marissa Tomei and Tracy Letts.Speaking recently to Variety magazine, Ryan said the film was "one of the most socially relevant" that he has ever made. "There's nothing else like this movie," he commented. "It's really great to be part of a film that's not only entertaining, but one that educates and engages and can hopefully start a dialogue."
