Mariah Carey is sharing new details of her romance with James Packer. The pop diva opened up about her first meeting with the Australian billionaire during an appearance on The Steve Harvey Show this week. "We first met in Aspen," Mariah, 45, revealed. "A couple of years ago we were at the Hercules premiere. We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So we hit it off."

Her host responded, "Ain't he lucky! to which Mariah replied, with a big smile, "I'm lucky too. He really is (great)." Indeed Mariah was wearing a stunning Van Cleef & Arpels necklace, which she revealed was a gift from her beau. "Oh, this old thing," she teased. "It was a very, very big surprise, very nice. "Mariah and James started dating in June, and made their red carpet debut in September at the premiere of The Intern. Speaking the following month, Mariah told Entertainment Tonight: "I don't think either one of us thought, 'Here we are making a debut,' he's not that guy. "It was a lot for him… I just automatically pose. I can't help it!"

Mariah split from her husband Nick Cannon last year, but they remain close for the sake of their four-year-old fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan.James, meanwhile, split from his wife Erica in 2013, and the couple have three children together – Indigo, seven, Jackson, five and three-year-old Emmanuelle. Erica is now dating singer Seal.Mariah and James might be in the opening stages of their romance, but according to reports they have already discussed tying the knot."James wants to marry her sooner rather than later, and she is very open to the idea," a source told TMZ, adding that a baby could also be on the cards. "Mariah feels that having a child with James would be a blessing from God. She wants another child and is telling friends she is not too old."
