The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster and her husband David Foster have announced the end of their four year marriage. "Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways," the couple confirmed in a statement to People. "We've shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. "During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues."

The 51-year-old reality star – who has been battling Lyme Disease since 2012 - has three children from her first marriage to Mohamed Hadid: model Gigi, 20, Bella, 19 and 16-year-old Anwar.Songwriter and record producer David, a 16 time Grammy Award winner, has been married four times and has five daughters.

"We are grateful for the years we've spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best," the couple's statement continued. "I hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we've learned and with the love and respect we will always have for each other. "It is thought that Yolanda's battle with Lyme Disease, and 66-year-old David's busy schedule contributed to the split.

"David is always off travelling the world for work and Yolanda's entire life has become her bedroom," one source told Us Weekly. "She's basically been sick since they first got married. It definitely took a toll on the marriage. "Another insider added that Yolanda, who was diagnosed one year after her fairytale marriage to David, felt her husband's absence. "She just felt he wasn't there for her when she needed him most and he felt the same. It's so sad but the illness really did come between them."
