After the health hurdles she's dealt with in her second pregnancy, Kim Kardashian has some good news to share. The reality TV star, who is 37 weeks pregnant, has revealed that her baby is no longer in a breech position.

Kim would have had to have a C-section if her baby hadn't turned naturally, lying head first ready to be born.

So over the Thanksgiving weekend, she checked into hospital to undergo a procedure that she described as "more painful than childbirth".

Kim Kardashian's baby was manually turned which she said was "soooooo painful"

Writing on her official website, North West's mum posted: "I underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position.

"They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby. There was a risk that my water might break or the baby's heart rate could drop – in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place. I went in with my sisters and my husband. I was prepared for it all!

"They don't give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth. BUT it worked!!!"

Kim, accompanied by Kanye West, had the procedure done over the Thanksgiving weekend

Kim concluded: "My baby is in the right position and it feels so good to not have the stress of thinking I need a C-section."

On Thanksgiving Kim was spotted visiting the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles with her husband Kanye West and her sisters, but she was back in time for dinner at Khloe's house, so perhaps she was having a pre-procedure check-up.

The 35-year-old is said to be due on Christmas Day but her baby may come earlier as her daughter North was five weeks premature. Kim has chosen to give birth to her son at Cedars-Sinai, the same hospital where she delivered her little girl two years ago.

At 37 weeks pregnant, Kim is suffering with the flu and a sinus infection

Kim has made no secret of the health difficulties she has faced during her pregnancy. Last month she admitted she had fears of developing preeclampsia again – the same condition she suffered with when she was pregnant with North.

Earlier this week Kim also took to Instagram to reveal that she was suffering with the flu and a sinus infection.
