Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini granted the wishes of a little girl called Zoë by inviting her backstage at The X Factor rehearsals on Friday. The youngster, who is cared for by Shooting Star Chase charity, enjoyed a personal backstage tour to meet the judges and contestants at Wembley's Fountain Studios.

Zoë was born with a genetic bone dysplasia abnormality called OSCS, and was recently diagnosed with a second rare life-limiting condition called Moyamoya. This means she gets chronic headaches and mini strokes and often ends up in hospital on a drip for pain relief.

Working with the children's charity, Simon made Zoë's wishes came true by inviting her to join him for lunch during rehearsals, before joining him and Rita Ora at the judging desk. The excitable youngster ensured to capture selfies of her special day out with judges Cheryl, Rita and Simon, as well as some of the contestants.

Zoë's visit came ahead of Simon Cowell's announcement that 100% of profits from The X Factor winner's single will be donated to both Shooting Star Chase and fellow children's charity Together for Short Lives.

The song will be available to download immediately after this year's winner is crowned on 13 December, with a donation of at least £1 for every CD sold in the UK and at least 20p for each download.

Explaining his decision to support the good causes, Simon said: "I have worked with these inspirational charities for many years and I'm delighted that The X Factor winner's single sales will help families who are going through such unimaginably difficult times.

"In 2015, raising funds for hospice care is more important than ever, and both Together for Short Lives and Shooting Star Chase are important charities which support children all over the country. The money we raise will make a real difference."
