Madonna and son David put on surprise concert in streets of Paris

Madonna and her son David took to the streets of Paris to perform a surprise concert on Wednesday, to pay tribute to those that lost their lives in the November 13 terrorist attacks. After Madonna performed her concert at the AccorHotels Arena, the Material Girl singer invited fans to join her on the streets to sings songs of peace.Alongside her guitarist Monte Pittman and her youngest son David Banda the star began singing songs about peace and love at the memorial site created for the victims of the attacks. Taking to her Twitter the 57-year-old wrote: “I’m singing some songs in place de la republique. Meet me there now #Paris #rightnow #aftershow #rebelheartour.”

Unsurprisingly a crowd quickly formed around the singer as she belted out some of her famous hits including Like a Virgin and also included John Lennon’s hit tune Imagine. As her 'set' came to a close the mum-of-four addressed the crowd saying: "Everybody knows why we’re here. We just want to sing a few songs about peace, just to spread love and joy, and to pay our honour and respect to the people who died almost four weeks ago," she said.After her impromptu concert in the streets, Madonna took to her social media pages and wrote: "Tonight was magic!! Thank you Paris thank you jr Thank you #rebelheartfans." The proud mum also posted, "David singing Redemption song for Paris So Amazing Thank you Universe #rebelheartour."

Following the terrorist attacks that happened in Paris, in which 130 people died, Madonna admitted she was confronted with a difficult decision about whether she should continue the Europe leg of her world tour. "I feel torn," she said, adding "Like why am I up here dancing and have fun when people are crying over the loss of their loves ones? However, that is exactly what these people want to do…They want to silence us. And we won’t let them."
