Ed Sheeran has announced that he is taking a break from social media and going traveling. The A Team singer left his 16M Twitter and 5.5M Instagram followers disappointed when he made the announcement this morning.Using the social media platform Instagram to publicise the news the 24-year-old wrote: "Hello all. I’m taking a break from my phone, emails and all social media for a while, I’ve had such an amazing ride over the last 5 years but I find myself seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes so I’m taking this opportunity of me not having to be anywhere or do anything to travel the world and see everything I missed."
Ed is taking some time off to "get back to reality"

See you all next autumn and thank you for being amazing. "This news comes after the grammy award winner announced that he would be taking a break from music, in order to "get back to reality…live and drive to places and listen to music and have normal conversations with people."
Although the singer has vowed to be out of the public eye for the most part of 2016 we will be seeing Ed’s face in the most anticipated film of the year, Bridget Jones’ Baby. The Thinking Out Loud crooner revealed in November that he has been given a cameo in the film.Ed announced the news by posting a selfie of himself with Renée Zellweger writing: "Spent the day being an actor in the new Bridget Jones movie. Loved it, you’re gonna love it too."
