Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster are getting into the festive spirit as Christmas quickly approaches. The couple donned their Christmas jumpers for a family photo alongside their two sons Alistair, ten, and Aiden, four, which was shared on Penny's Instagram page on Thursday.
The snap shows the family sitting together on a bench outside, with Penny resting her arm around Rod's shoulder as a smiling Aiden sits between them. Rod in turns has his arm around their eldest son Alistair, who is wearing a Christmas tree knit jumper and Santa hat with his school uniform.

"Christmas jumpers!!!" Penny captioned the family photo.
The 44-year-old is clearly excited to celebrate Christmas with Rod and their extended family, including his other children Kimberley, Sean, Ruby, Renée and Liam. Sharing a black-and-white family portrait of them all on a staircase together on Thursday, Penny wrote: "Look forward to seeing these guys soon!!"
The couple are still as happy as ever after 15 years together, with Penny recently sharing the secret to their successful relationship in an interview with The Mirror. "Our honeymoon period seems to have lasted forever," she said. "We still have a connection like we just met."
Penny said she is looking forward to celebrating Christmas with family
She continued: "I try and split my time between my eldest child Rod – and my two other boys. Most men are needy, especially when you have been in a long relationship before children arrive, and then children do take up a big part of your time and men feel left out a bit. So I make a conscious effort to dedicate time – the two of us going for dinner, or having breakfast. Just a moment among the madness, he still needs attention."
