The former Spice Girl and mother to nine-year-old Bluebell, who married Formula 1 boss Christian Horner in May, describes 2015 as a "landmark year".

"It's been a particularly incredible year for me," she says, as she prepares to "cuddle up for Christmas" with her nine-year-old daughter, Bluebell and her Formula 1 boss husband, Christian. "It's the year I married and we became a family. It's the most incredible thing. Of all the stages of my life I don't think I've felt happier, more content or more myself."

There is absolutely no chance you could doubt her. Sweet little love notes are pinned on the fridge and scattered about the house, and the walls and surfaces are crammed with framed photos of Geri, Christian and their children, marking holidays, birthdays and their wedding in May this year.

It's not just Geri who positively glows with happiness as she laughs and chats openly about her life. Bluebell is clearly in her element as she makes gingerbread "girls" with Geri and enjoys a winter walk with her mum and Red Bull team principal Christian.

Christian, 42, sums up the mood: "This is our second Christmas together but it's our first Christmas as a married couple and it's just great. We're all very, very happy."

Their London house is strewn with brightly wrapped presents under stylishly decorated trees, garlands deckthe vast wooden stairs in the hall, a fire roars in the sitting room and mince pies are warming in the large kitchen.

They have clearly made a big effort and it is important to Geri, who is beaming with pride. "All of us reallylove Christmas," she says. "It is the one time of the year that all you need to think about is being with family and friends and appreciating each other and just doing homely things like listening to carols and going for long walks together.

"We do stockings then presents under the tree and then we'll just eat and laugh and have fun."
