Ever wondered how the Beckhams spend Christmas Day? David Beckham gave a surprising insight into how he and wife Victoria make Chrismas magical for their four children and it's not a showbiz affair as some might think.
During an interview on BBC Breakfast on Monday, the football legend revealed exactly what Christmas Day is like in the Beckham household.
The Beckhams are having a traditional Christmas in London
"I think like every other person's Christmas - it will be very normal," he laughed. "We open presents, we enjoy ourselves, we have a traditional Christmas dinner. So we're exactly the same."
The former England captain has a conventional outlook on the special day, insisting it's best to be at home with family. "We always spend Christmas in London because it's home and all our family are here, so we're very traditional," he said.
The happy couple, who have been married 16 years, are known to treat each other to lavish gifts but when asked if Victoria was hard to shop for, the 40-year-old gave a surprising answer.
David and Olive are getting ready for the festive season
"She's not actually. I think when you've been with someone for so long, people do say that. They turn round and say "It must be so difficult to buy for Victoria" because she has a lot of things you'd think about going to buy for your wife or your girlfriend.
"But actually, I know her so well and I know the simple things she likes and enjoys, so she's okay to buy for," he shared.
Harper wished everyone a Merry Christmas with a pretty card
The doting parents have been gearing up for Christmas for some time now, with the whole family sharing festive photos on social media. David enlisted the help of the family pet dog Olive when the pair posed for a selfie, showing the cocker spaniel in a festive outfit with the caption: "Even Olive is getting into the festivities."
His fashion designer wife also took to Instagram to show off their daughter Harper's art skills. The four-year-old made an adorable Christmas card of an angel and her proud mother wrote: "Christmas kisses from Harper X."
