At 73-years-old, Harrison Ford is not only renowned for his role in Star Wars as Han Solo. The silver fox is an international heartthrob and it seems he was even breaking hearts in his twenties when he was a carpenter.

"Before Han Solo, there was a great carpenter named Harrison Ford," Sergio wrote. "And here he is, with his crew, the day he finished building my recording studio back in 1970...Thank you Harrison...may the force be with you..."

Taken in 1970, the photo captured Harrison when he was three years away from his first movie American Graffiti and seven years before landing the role of a lifetime in the original Star Wars.

The snap, which has been shared thousands of times, has caught the attention of many fans. "You mean before there was Han Solo there was a hot carpenter...," one wrote.

Apart from his smouldering throwback photo being shared on social media, the Hollywood actor has been enjoying the success of his Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, but it wasn't all smooth sailing during filming of the blockbuster. The star was left with broken bones and a dislocated ankle when on set for the movie in the summer of last year.

Harrison was standing in the doorway on set, talking to director JJ Abrams in his costume, when the gory incident took place. "In the original film, the door, if there had been a door, it would have been closed with a pulley and a stage hand just closing it," he explained on The Jonathon Ross Show.

"But now we had lots of money and technology and so they built a great hydraulic door which closed at light speed.

"And somebody said, 'Ooh I wonder what this is?' [pretends to point at buttons] and the door came down and hit me on my left hip because I was turned to my right," he added. "And then it flung my left leg up and it dislocated my ankle and as it drove me down to the floor, my legs slapped on the ramp up to the millennium falcon and broke both bones in my left leg."

Harrison, who reprises his role as Han Solo, admitted that he still doesn't know who the culprit is. "I don't know and I don't want to know," he said.

Filming was put on hold after the June incident, and didn't resume until August, although the movie star was back on his feet before then.
