After much speculation, Strictly Come Dancing stars Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice appear to have confirmed their new relationship. The couple, who have been at the centre of romance rumours ever since they were reportedly seen kissing in Paris at the start of the year, having seemingly posed for their first selfie as a couple in a sweet new snap posted on Instagram.The image, which was uploaded on 25-year-old Giovanni’s page, shows the ballroom stars lying on the floor, with Giovanni resting his cheek on 24-year-old Georgia's head as she beams for the camera.

Keeping fans guessing, Sicily-born Giovanni simply captioned the photo with their joint initials, writing "GG ❤ @georgiamay112."Former Coronation Street star Georgia is believed to have sought comfort from her Strictly partner following the end of her relationship with her co-star Sean Ward. They ended their romance just a short time after the Strictly Come Dancing final, reportedly over his insecurity about the dancing duo. "Georgia was very fond of Sean and she cared for him deeply, but he found it difficult to get over the close friendship she had with Giovanni," a source told the Mirror."It was Sean who pushed Georgia away, he didn't feel secure in their relationship and it led to huge rows. Georgia would regularly be in floods of tears backstage. Giovanni was trying to be a good friend. "Over New Year, Georgia and Giovanni were seen sharing a kiss at the Magic Circus Hotel bar at the Disneyland Paris resort. The actress, who played Katy Armstrong in Corrie before leaving in March 2015, shared a photo of her trip which showed her posing in front of the iconic castle, but Giovanni was not featured on the snap.
