George Clooney's £10million home in Sonning-on-Thames, Berkshire, has come under threat of flooding after a deluge of heavy rainfall caused the River Thames to burst its banks. The Environment Agency issued a flood warning for the village, advising that persistent rain could lead to flood water "flowing out into low lying areas".
While George's Grade II listed mansion Aberlash House is currently unaffected, a large area of his garden has already been submerged under water and it may well creep closer to the house if the rain continues.

The French Horn restaurant, which sits on the opposite side of the river to George's home, has also been affected by the persistent rain. The restaurant has river access steps where customers can visit by boat, however by Wednesday the rising water levels meant that the steps were completely submerged and the river could soon spill onto the adjacent gardens.
George and his wife Amal will surely do all that they can to ensure the flooding doesn't reach their property, which has been undergoing extensive renovation works since they bought it in October 2014.

The couple have had a swimming pool and pool house added to the property, along with a large terrace and private cinema. In August they were also granted permission to install CCTV cameras around their home after the local council approved his planning application.
The nine-bedroom property is set in four acres of land, surrounded by trees and expansive gardens, offering the couple seclusion and privacy. It also has a separate cottage for guests or staff.
Other famous faces to live in the village include Home Secretary Theresa May and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
